Brazil Sets Import Quotas for 11 Steel Products, 25% Tariffs for Excesses

Brazil set import quotas for 11 kinds of steel products and levied 25% tariffs when the quotas are exceeded, and the measure will be implemented for 12 months, a government statement said. The Brazilian government said it hopes the move will help reduce idle capacity in the local steel manufacturing industry.
